All kind of questions about the tulips fields. Where are they located?
At that time, we sent a volunteer on a scooter to take nice photos of the fields. Afterwards we did put them on the map on internet. This is how Flowerradar started. So nice! Such beautiful photos of the flowering fields!
Then, last year, due to covid we could not work the same way any more. How ever I still thought "Fortunately I can just take photos of the fields myself and then put them on internet. Afterall the fields are all just in my back yard."
Unfortunately we were stopped by the municipality of Noordwijk. It would become too busy at certain spots, they claimed.
This was not what we wanted, as this would mean an increase in covid infections. However, by putting these nice, colourfull photos on the internet we could entertain the people at home a litte bit, right?
Through the flower radar tourists could see the flower locations and with "Dreamnowtravellater" I thought we could entice them to visit our region once it would be possible. This was not how the municipality thought and the website of the flower radar was taken off line. Very said and nothing we could do about it.
How we do it this year? I really do not know.
I will probably take some photos with my boys in a flowering field with maybe a nice wind mill. And for your? I don't know! Let's hope that this year the Flower radar can be on-line again!
